چکیده
BACKGROUND: Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive under 5-year-old due chronic malnutrition causing the children become too short for their age. The contribution this research prevent and reduce stunting through Early Detection training. AIM: objective current develop model mother empowerment in preventing intervention early detection METHODS: Phase I development prevention using survey with cross sectional design. II implementation Quasi Experimental Nonrandomized Prepost Control Group Design. RESULTS: results study obtained that mothers who had good characteristics increased knowledge 0.423 (p = 0.000). Mothers have increase commitment 0.230 0.004), 0.448 0.000), family support 0.236 0.040), reduces 0.257 0.011). CONCLUSION: A new finding formation Mother Empowerment Model Prevention Intervention Training where most influential factor.

Stunting in African children.
A total of 651 preschool children from rural central Africa were selected by random cluster sampling, weighed, and measured. Two per cent were wasted, but 47% were stunted. As linear growth recovers more slowly than weight repeated infections may give inadequate time for height catch-up.
متن کاملEarly Detection: An Opportunity for Cancer Prevention Through Early Intervention
Cancer is the second leading disease cause of death in the United States. A group of more than 100 different and distinctive diseases, cancer may involve any tissue of the body. Estimates are that there were over 1.5 million cases in 2010 in the United States alone. Only a small fraction (less than 20%) of cancers are diagnosed at a localized stage where curative therapy is effective. Most canc...

Undernutrition is associated with poor cognitive development, late entry into school, decreased years of schooling, reduced productivity and smaller adult stature. We use longitudinal data from 1674 Peruvian children participating in the Young Lives study to assess the relative impact of early stunting (stunted at 6-18 months of age) and concurrent stunting (stunted at 4.5-6 years of age) on co...
متن کاملWasting is associated with stunting in early childhood.
The longitudinal relationship between stunting and wasting in children is poorly characterized. Instances of wasting or poor weight gain may precede linear growth retardation. We analyzed longitudinal anthropometric data for 1599 children from 8 cohort studies to determine the effect of wasting [weight-for-length Z-score (WLZ) < -2] and variability in WLZ in the first 17 mo on length-for-age Z-...
متن کاملPopulation-based growth stunting.
Growth stunting, defined as height for age below the fifth percentile on a reference growth curve, is traditionally used as an indicator of nutritional status in children. Growth stunting is a population-based indicator and can indicate the prevalence of malnutrition or nutrition-related disorders among an identified population of children. Among certain segments of the U.S. child population, m...
